About This Project
A chronic illness is an incurable condition with debilitating pain and fatigue and other symptoms that can't easily be recognized just by looking at someone. This often leads to invalidation - from peers, healthcare providers, even family.
"What You Don't See DOES Hurt Her" is an Augmented Reality art gallery that uses technology as a metaphor. Each artwork appears one way to the naked eye, but when viewed through a device, hidden layers reveal the complex emotions, struggles, and realities that exist beneath the surface.
